THE PORT OF DJEN DJEN
The Port of Djen Djen is the largest port in Algeria and ranks among the largest port facilities in the Mediterranean.
Located in the Wilaya of Jijel in eastern Algeria, it enjoys a strategic location less than 50 miles from the sea route connecting the Suez Canal to the Strait of Gibraltar, giving it a privileged position.
The Port of Djen Djen covers an area of 210 hectares, with a draught of up to -18.20m. The Port of Djen Djen obtained certification for its integrated management system (IMS) in November 2018, demonstrating the Port’s commitment to constantly balancing economic and environmental considerations and improving the safety of people, property and facilities.

The Port Authority of Djen Djen, a subsidiary of the SERPORT Group, has set itself the strategic goal of becoming a major hub in the Mediterranean.
This objective is being pursued through ongoing expansion projects, the design of infrastructures focused on the digitalization of all processes, automation using AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), the adoption of clean energy solutions, and the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
